The End of Tomorrow

Falling Up

Tomorrow

It was the end of Tomorrow. There would be no more roses and no more mornings. The end was near and there was nothing to it. It was a kill. It was all gone, the end was near and at the end it was all done. What was the issue and what was the problem? Nothing was, for the coming June was in the air but here was at last, the end of Tomorrow.

My soul was searching for the reason but in the conclusion of it all, my life was ending, as all our lives were ending and it was the end of Tomorrow. In the midst of all the acceptance, the light was extinguishing itself. The light of the world had gone out and we were there watching as the end came, as the universe swallowed us. It was the end of then, no more forever, no more will be. The end was coming to all of us. It was the end of all, and the beginnings were all ending in the Tomorrow. A day at last was gone when life would never start again, and then the whole sense of a community was gone and self became unimportant.

The beginning of the end had come to us as we looked upon the sky with stars that blinked and swished above us leaving a streak of light in the ever-gathering night sky. Upward we looked at a sky so dark that light seemed to be swallowed by it, a dark that was by and by encompassing all of us while the forces of the world changed and became less strong, and we felt we were becoming unbind, matter was pulling apart, and instead of our feet deepening into the ground, we were lifting above it.

What is this? What is the need of all these, the end of misery, the end of all the miseries in the world, but the beginning of something that perhaps will come anew?

The cause… there is no end without a beginning, and the beginning is always the end of something that began and ended.

It was in front of me, an apple as at the start of things, looking old and dried up, small and green. And yet it smelled of spring and summer and of life. Showing spots of decay, the stalk reminded of gravity, and Newton and the forces of the world that were slowly ebbing away, as we fulfilled at last the dream to fly. And as we flew, the apple reversed its fall. That was what showed me the end had come, and there will never be another Tomorrow, the apple, falling towards the sky.
