There are places where the stones seem to whisper. I stood this morning beside one such monolith, weathered and quiet, and felt something stir in the marrow of the Earth. Perhaps it is not the past that is lost, but our ears that have grown too noisy to hear it.
" In the eve of listening to people brag about their traveling adventures, I meditated on the need humans have of sticking out of the crowd, be it by their achievements, their properties, or in this case, the long vacation they took in Italy. Their prowess, they outstanding acheivement was to climb the Parthenon. Was that in Italy or in Greece? Nevertheless, that was the aim, and they managed! For me it seemed as if they were bragging about climbing Mount Everest. And what did this 'achievement' bring them?
